CURSING CHRISTIAN? The young lady pictured said to me, “Yes, we are Christians! We love God and serve Him…I know this is Bourbon Street and I’m drunk, but I’m doing good with God.”
I said, “Why do you mention drinking and being on Bourbon Street – because I haven’t?” Her response was, “My pastor tells us that we need to do right.”
I then read to her these verses:
“Know you not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortionists, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” 1 Cor 6:9-10
“If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.” 1 John 1:6
“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot: I would you were cold or hot. So then because you are lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew you out of my mouth.” Revelation 3:15-16
“According to the Bible,” I told her, “based upon your own admission, you are living a life that will send you straight to hell.”
She called me the “F” word and told me that I was not a REAL Christian and that I was deceiving people – and stormed away. Sad
