To restore the vision of evangelism and the great commission to the local church through training, mentoring and mobilizing, and evangelizing the immediate world that we have been provided access to, whether that “world” consists of our neighborhood, city, place of employment, or foreign soil.
When I began to look beyond the parameters of my own city, I became terminally obsessed with reaching this world for Jesus Christ [and my calling is not even that of an evangelist!]. It just ceased to be “okay” with me for people to die and go to **** without first having had the opportunity to hear and receive the Gospel.
Romans 8:19 says, “The creation waits in eager expectation for the sons of God to be revealed.”
Now, who exactly are these “sons of God” who the world is so eager to meet…? (I am glad you asked!)
John 1:12 tells us, “But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on His name.”
This is me and anyone who would receive Him as their Lord and Savior!
We have since taken teams from coast-to-coast and have seen many come to Christ — from the neon-lit streets of Hollywood, California, to the projects of New York City. They are waiting with “earnest expectation” for you and I to show-up with the Good News of Salvation, and reveal to them what they have long been waiting for!
REVIVAL will be birthed out of the willing vessels who would dare to repent and take up the call to once again return to the vision and commission to “Go unto all the world and preach the Gospel.”
Since its inception in 1996, RAVEN has literally served as a vehicle to mobilize and train thousands of individuals in the area of outreach and evangelism. Utilizing the annual outreach to New Orleans at Mardi Gras, RAVEN has hosted an outreach camp which serves as the base for urban missionaries who have come from across this nation, Canada, and Mexico, to see lives changed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
RAVEN has enjoyed a cross-denominational influence, as we have within our ranks individuals who serve faithfully in various Pentecostal, charismatic churches, independent Christian, Baptist, and others, all with the declaration:
“For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the Gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God.” 1 Corinthians 1:17-18
“If sinners be damned, at least let them leap to **** over our bodies. If they perish, let them perish with our arms around their knees. Let no one go there unwarned or unprayed for.”
